The CISTI 2026 conference took place in Santiago de Compostela from 17 to 20 June, with the aim of bringing together researchers, professionals and specialists in the field of information systems and technologies to share scientific, technological and applied advances.
The paper presented proposes an approach for assessing the quality of space software at EUMETSAT through the integration of the ECSS regulatory framework with the ISO/IEC 25000 family of standards. This integration enables the definition of an assessment model tailored to software products in the space sector, incorporating objective metrics, verifiable evidence and criteria adapted to different levels of criticality.
The study was carried out within the context of software quality assessment activities conducted jointly by AQCLab, EUMETSAT and IMMEDIA IT, combining the real-world needs of the space industry with approaches based on international software quality standards.
