The 2nd edition of the book "Mantenimiento y Evolución de Sistemas de Información", edited by AQCLab and the Alarcos Research Group of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, is now available.
Mantenimiento y Evolución de Sistemas de Información, authored by Ricardo Pérez del Castillo, Ignacio García, Francisco Ruíz, Macario Polo and Mario Piattini, presents the fundamental concepts related to the maintenance and evolution of information systems, and offers a systematic treatment of the international standards related to the maintenance process and software maintainability. In addition, several proven methodologies are proposed to address the maintenance of information systems, analysing some techniques and tools that can facilitate the evolution of software.
For decades, the maintenance and evolution of information systems has been one of the main sources of concern for managers and directors of organisations, due to the problem that often results from the impossibility of adapting existing software to new requirements or technological changes. For this reason, throughout this work, academic rigour has been combined with practical experience, providing a current and complete overview of the problems associated with the maintenance and evolution of information systems.
You can purchase the book on Amazon, both as a Kindle version and as a softcover print edition.
AQCLab has participated in IWESQ 2022, 4th International Workshop on Experience with SQuaRE series and its Future Direction, the international workshop about the ISO/IEC 25000 series of standards, also known as SQuaRE, which is part of the 9th Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference (APSEC 2022).
The IWESQ workshop, organised by members of the working group responsible for the ISO/IEC 25000 family of standards, aims at sharing research outcomes and issues, as well as experiences of practical applications of the SQuaRE series, including:
In this context, AQCLab presented their work "Data Cybersecurity Evaluation with ISO/IEC 25012", explaining the advances in the framework that is being developed for the evaluation and certification of data cybersecurity based on the international standard ISO/IEC 25012, part of the SQuaRE series.
The 2nd edition of the book "Medición de Sistemas de Información", edited by AQCLab and the Alarcos Research Group of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, is now available.
Medición de Sistemas de Información, authored by Mario Piattini and Félix García, provides a current and complete overview of different aspects of measurement (concepts, standards, metrics, implementation methodologies, etc.), which can be applied to projects, services, processes or software products.
Measurement is fundamental for quality. For this reason, throughout this book, scientific rigour has been combined with practical experience, detailing how measurement aspects are addressed in various standards, techniques, models, methodologies, etc., such as: ISO 9000 standards; Six Sigma; software quality models related to people, such as PSP, TSP or CMMI-PPL; process quality models, such as CMMI, ISO/IEC 29110 or ISO/IEC 33000; or software product quality models, such as ISO/IEC 25000 or CISQ.
In this second edition, all the standards and metrics related to software quality have been updated, including new proposals and results in this field.
You can purchase the book on Amazon, both as a Kindle version and as a softcover print edition.
Mario Piattini, Scientific Director of AQCLab, is once again among the best researchers in the world according to the latest update (September 2022) of the ranking "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators" prepared by John Ioannidis and co-authors from Stanford University (USA).
This ranking is based on the analysis of Scopus data regarding scientific production, taking into account a set of standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score). The c-score focuses on impact (citations) rather than productivity (number of publications). The list includes all scientists who are among the top 2% in each of the research fields, according to the composite citation index.
The book "Calidad de Sistemas de Información basada en estándares internaciones" ("Quality of Information Systems based in international standards"), edited by the Alarcos Research Group and AQCLab has reached its 6th edition.
Calidad de Sistemas de Información, written by colleagues Mario Piattini, Félix García, Ignacio García Rodríguez de Guzmán and Francisco Pino, presents a holistic view of the quality of information systems through existing international standards. These standards presented in the book address different principles and good practices in the quality of the different components of information systems: processes, projects, products, services, people, etc.
This sixth edition revises the standards presented to reflect changes in their latest published versions.
Throughout this work, scientific rigour has been combined with practical experience, providing a current and complete overview of the problems associated with the quality of information systems and the techniques, models and tools that can be used to improve it.
You can purchase the book through Amazon, both as a Kindle version and as a softcover print edition.
